What are CAR-NK cells?

CAR-NK cells (chimeric antigen receptor natural killer cells) are natural killer (NK) cells that have been genetically engineered to express a specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR), thereby enhancing their ability to target and kill tumor cells. CAR-NK cells combine the innate immune properties of NK cells with the precise targeting of CAR technology and are considered a significant breakthrough in the field of tumor immunotherapy, following CAR-T cell therapy.
